Gathering for the Future
Last year at bloom we worked together to activate the whole city. as a unified festival. We focused on bringing awareness to and opening up the vacant lot across from the main square for music and vendors, and we pumped money and engagement into the towns infrastructure in the best way we knew how utilizing:
Ives Park, The Community Center, The HUB HQ and Depot St. We achieved something the city has yet to see and we made a lot of beautiful friends along the way. And anyone who went will tell you that the Music, vibes and People who came out were on another level.
That so that worked, But this year we are doing something different and we are focus on leaving an impact in the form of art, spaces and memories:

For art we will be commissioning the city to host 10 artists to create enigmatic pieces that will live downtown for the foreseeable future as part of the festival (pending approval and location selection).

For Music we will have more spaces than before with more free options for locals to enjoy during the day 9-4 and paid areas mostly starting after 4pm with headlining acts.

For spaces we hope to bring in 3-4 new venues that did not participate last year and engage and even broader demographic in both age and cultural representation.

And for memories we plan to bring in Elders, wisdom keepers, Musicians and videographers to tell an even richer story than last year, over the 3 days.
In terms of net proceeds from the event, we learned from our first year that the break even point for such a large undertaking is a great goal to achieve itself! But we hope that in year 2 we can donate some of our net proceeds directly to the projects that festival engages with: The art instillations, Space-making and Supporting the ongoing green space initiatives we have been working on since 2023.
Our hope is this festival can live on for many years and in its momentum it can bring new life and vibrancy to this city and add that little bit of magic that a civic center needs to feel vibrant and alive. We hope you will come and add your piece to this mix, and from that something truly special can occur.
